A day before the nine-year anniversary of my journaling practice, I reflected on where I was, how I got there, and how far I had yet to go. The reflection was surprisingly still despite the turbulent waters of my life. The battle for home between Alabama and Arizona witnessed major victories in favor of Alabama. Legacy suffered a debilitating delay that would take weeks to overcome. And the very week of this nine-year anniversary was the same week I dropped from a full-time employee to a part-time one.
At this point in my life, it was the biggest risk I had ever taken.
It was also one of the few times I did something, truly, for me
